LastPass First Time Login
LastPass First Time Login Guide
Activate your LastPass account
LastPass allows you to maintain passwords in a secured environment. Once you have been notified that KSM has added you as a LastPass user, you will need to activate your account. We have enabled the use of your network credentials as your “master password”. This guide will walk you through the process of first-time login and setup.
- You will receive a notification from do-not-reply-support@lastpass.com. The invite email will look like this:

-
Note: Copy the activation code in the email.
- Select Activate LastPass.
-
Paste the activation code in the Activation code field
- Select Continue.
-
You will receive a notification that "Your federated account is all set!"
- After accepting, download the Extension to Google Chrome and/or Edge. Please click HERE and select the appropriate web browser

-
After selecting Chrome and/or Edge, select the Add option

- Once added, pin this to your tool bar. Click on the Extension icon
and select the 3 dots next to LastPass and Manage Extension to pin the extension. Select Pin to Toolbar and Allow in Incognito
- After pinning the extension, select the LastPass Extension and Log into it.

-
Enter your email address. The password field will go away as your account is SSO (single-sign on). Select Log In.

You will be prompted to confirm your account from LastPass.

-
You will receive an email to confirm your account setup. Select Verify new device or location. You will receive this same email if you access LastPass from any other system or AWS.

After Confirming your account, you will be asked if you would like to link a personal account or to create one. This step can be skipped

Your vault will now open, and you have access to LastPass!
You are now signed in and can start creating/saving your passwords and account. As you visit websites that ask for credentials, they will start to build out your vault.
Note: If you are at a KSM office and connected to the network or KSM Wireless, you will NOT be prompted for DUO 2FA. If you are not connected to KSM Wireless, you will be prompted for DUO 2FA upon sign-in. If you’re connected to KSM Wireless and you’ve already signed-in to the extension once, you will not have to continually enter your password.
