Engagement - ERROR: PFXSYNPFTService.exe not running
ISSUE:
"The Synchronization Service program (PFXSYNPFTService.exe) is not running" when synchronizing a binder in CCH® ProSystem fx® Engagement or Workpaper Manager.

THESE RESOLUTIONS ARE ONLY FOR LOCALLY INSTALLED ENGAGEMENT. NOT HORIZON ENGAGEMENT.
RESOLUTION 1:
- Close all Microsoft Apps
- Close Engagement
- Click the Windows button
- Type appchecker and select CCH ProSystem fx Engagement App Checker UI
- When the dialog window appears, select Fix All

- Close appchecker and re-open Engagement
RESOLUTION 2:
- Close all Microsoft Apps
- Close Engagement
- Click the Windows button
- Type appwiz.cpl
- Locate CCH ProSystem fx Engagement
- Select the Repair option
- Re-open engagement and sync a binder
