CCH Axcess Tax - Delete Tax Return (senior associate and above)

ISSUE

Staff requests that a return gets deleted

RESOLUTION:

Senior Associate level and above have been given the right to delete returns in the CCH Axcess Tax system. There is a 90 day window from the time of deletion to restore the return if it was inadvertently removed.


PROCESS:

  • Open Return Manager and locate the specific return to delete
  • Highlight the single return
  • Either press the delete key on the keyboard or select the delete option from the menu bar
  • Accept the default options in the delete return dialog box
  • Select OK to finalize the deletion of the specific tax return
  • Select the Recycle Bin option to restore the tax return (within 90 days of original deletion)
  • You do not need to notify the Help Desk if you remove a return on your own
