ISSUE:

1. 8879s are not on hand 
2. staff/partner cannot obtain from the client.
3. 8879s cannot be located in the fax system, sharefile, email, DMS, etc.

• note: This is not standard practice as it subjects the firm to several liabilities
• note: This is the only way to get the return into the efiling queue. Efiling staff are not authorized to release without this confirmation

RESOLUTION:

• Access the specific client job in PE
• Select the Details tab
• Select the Axcess Tax Information/Delivery dropdown
• Select Axcess Tax Information
• Select the 8879 EFile Release without 8879 tab
• Select Release Return
• Confirm the warning

This process will approve the return for efiling. The return will go into the auto efiling queue and get released during the next run. Each run is approximately every 30 minutes.
