CodeTwo - Signature missing temporary workaround
Modified on: Wed, Feb 19 2025 10:52 AMISSUE:
- CodeTwo add-in is showing in Outlook, but signature is not automatically applying
RESOLUTION:
- Update to Outlook to the latest version > check to see if signature is showing. If not then follow the steps below
-
The workaround might get reversed by Outlook itself, so it’s not permanent and it will be released globally at the start of March 2025, steps below:
- Turn off the Outlook client completely.
- Please save the following file bundle.js (V4) (directly to the folder), and replace the one already present in this location:
%localappdata%\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Wef\{[Outlook profile GUID]}\[Outlook mail account encoding]\Javascript\40695bfc-e831-4980-bc79-d786569e9f34_[version]_[locale].
The emboldened parts will look like strings of random characters. In case you’d find more than one folder having those random characters, please locate the one that has the subfolders listed in the path above. The [version] can look like this: 2.0.0.0 and the [locale] value can have this, or similar form: en-US. - Afterwards, please open your Outlook client, wait for about 30 seconds, and open a new email window. After another 30 seconds have passed, please close that new email.
- Open a new email window again, wait for additional 30 seconds.
- Use Outlook normally from that point and if the issue re-occurs, then please let CodeTwo know
