Microsoft Teams - Camera options and common issues

- Teams is not showing video.
- Teams is using the wrong camera.
- Grey picture with an icon, or fuzzy/dark image in teams instead of video.
RESOLUTION:
WRONG CAMERA/NO VIDEO
- Select the ellipsis next to your profile picture.
- Select "Devices" Tab and Scroll to the bottom of the options listed. Select the "Camera" dropdown and ensure the proper device is selected.
- If you do not see the device listed, and it is an external device, please ensure it is connected to your machine properly by following the cable and removing/plugging in the connector to ensure it is fully seated.
GREY PICTURE | FUZZY/DARK IMAGE
- if you are experiencing a Grey picture or fuzzy/dark screen similar to the examples above please try the following:
- If you are using the integrated camera (in your laptop) make sure the laptop is open, and the privacy shutter is open
(set to the right on a Lenovo P16S)
- If you are using an external webcam please make sure any shutters/privacy covers are opened.
