Suralink - Checking client permissions
Suralink - How to check client permissions to engagements ISSUE: If a client ever reports not being able to see an engagement likely their permissions to the engagement are not setup correctly. RESOLUTION: Below is the process for checking a client's access to engagements in Suralink. Open Suralink Find the client in your client list and open so you can see all Engagements, Client Users, and Team Members Find the user in question under Client Users Select the star next to their name Once you select the star, the following options appear: Grant access to a limited number of Engagements by selecting the "Limited Access" radio button and then checking the boxes next to the desired Engagements Grant "Access to all Engagements" which will place checkmarks next to all Engagements, even Inactive ones Once you have checked the desired options select Apply in either location to save the changes Reach out to the client and have them try to access the Engagement again *Note*: Either you or the client can also utilize the My Support link at the bottom of the browser window for assistance

Suralink - How to Search for a Client
ISSUE: Unable to search or find a client in Suralink. SOLUTION: Follow the steps below to search for a client in Suralink. With Suralink opened click on the Client tab along the top of the webpage. Select the Client List tab. Search by Client ID or by Client Name by typing into the Search field. You can also use the dropdown to search All Client or My Clients. As you type Suralink will search and pull up any applicable results, click on the Client Name to open the Client.

Suralink - Change Client Number and/or Department
ISSUE: Client is missing the client number Client(s) is(are) assigned to the wrong department RESOLUTION: Client Number Locate the client in the Clients List Select the Pencil icon to the right of the screen Change the client number to the correct number > Select Save Changes You can edit any additional fields as well, including Client Name Client Department Select one client or multiple clients Select the Change Department icon at the top of the screen Select the correct department from the Change Client Department dialog box Select Change Department

Suralink - How to archive a client engagement
ISSUE: Old engagements that are no longer needed or are no longer active need to be marked as Archive according to KSM's File Retention policies. SOLUTION: Follow the steps below to archive engagements for completed engagements and filed returns. Log into Suralink: https://ksmcpa.suralink.com Search for the Client and find the engagement that needs to be archived: SuraLink - How to Search for a Client Once the engagement has been located click on the circle ellipses icon and select Archive On the next screen there are multiple options for how the engagement should be archived. Select only the desired options and sub-options. . Click Yes. Type yesarchive into the field when prompted and click Yes. The engagement will now show in the Archived section under the Client's Engagements in Suralink. The engagement will be purged according to KSM's File Retention policies.
